The fourth session aims to take a deep dive at care economy and the role of businesses to promote gender equality through family friendly polices and employer support programmes. The session will also introduce UN Women’s work towards promoting care economy with the private sector by highlighting a regional programme in Asia Pacific, and WEPs global signatories.

Applications are now open through June 30 for the 2024 Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards! The WEPs Awards is open to all private sector entities operating in the Asia-Pacific, and you do not need to be a Signatory to submit an application.
The WEPs Awards is organized with continued support from the Government of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) as part of the newly launched ‘UN Women Gender Action Lab (GAL): Innovation and Impact for Gender Equality in Asia-Pacific, powered by the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs).’

Even the most open-minded person has unconscious biases. Biases may be held by an individual or a group and can have negative or positive consequences. Unconscious biases are created and reinforced by our environments and experiences. Our mind is constantly processing information, oftentimes, without our conscious awareness. When we are moving fast or lack all the data, our unconscious biases fill in the gaps, influencing everything from product decisions to our interactions with coworkers.
