Applications are now open through June 30 for the 2024 Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards! The WEPs Awards is open to all private sector entities operating in the Asia-Pacific, and you do not need to be a Signatory to submit an application.

The WEPs Awards is organized with continued support from the Government of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) as part of the newly launched ‘UN Women Gender Action Lab (GAL): Innovation and Impact for Gender Equality in Asia-Pacific, powered by the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs).’

For the 10th consecutive year, stock exchanges around the world are hosting bell ringing ceremonies on or around the International Women’s Day (8 March), to raise awareness of the pivotal role the private sector can play in advancing gender equality. The theme of this year is "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress". 

2024 WEPs Deep-dive Series #1: Gender Equality & ESG

In 2024, UN Women will launch a new series of WEPs deep-dives thematic webinars, covering many different topics related to gender equality and women’s empowerment.

This webinar will be the first session to kick off the series. This webinar will focus on 1) fundamentals of gender equality: and basic gender equality concepts, and 2) Linkages of gender equality to other SDGs and ESG. The objective is to expand the companies’ understanding of these fundamental issues to be able to more effectively advance their WEPs implementation.
