UN Women Kosovo - Knowledge exchange visit of Kosovan WEPs signatories to Istanbul, Turkiye

Recently, UN Women Kosovo, with support from UN Women Türkiye and in partnership with the Kosovo CSR Network, organized a knowledge exchange visit to Istanbul with the WEPs signatories from Kosovo and Türkiye.

 

The delegation comprised of private representatives from Kosovo, visited leading companies such as Migros Türkiye,  Yıldız Holding and Hepsiburada, to gain firsthand insights into best practices for implementing programs that empower women. During these visits, the companies shared their experiences with the WEPs implementation, providing valuable knowledge on each principle and showcasing inspiring stories of how they have integrated gender equality into their business strategies.

 

This exchange not only allowed participants to learn from successful corporate initiatives but also fostered cross-border collaboration between Kosovo and Türkiye on advancing women's empowerment in the workplace. The visit served as an important step towards strengthening the implementation of WEPs in both countries, with the aim of creating more inclusive and supportive environments for women in the workforce. The lessons learned will be crucial for guiding future efforts to promote gender equality and women’s leadership in both public and private sectors.
