Company-Supported Early Childhood Education and Care

Company-Supported Early Childhood Education and Care
UN Women

The Guidance Note on Company-Supported Early Childhood Education and Care shows how employer-supported childcare and work-family-friendly policies benefit both employers and employees. It offers guidance on how to provide childcare benefits and explores how they can introduce retention and promotion policies for employees with caregiving responsibilities, thereby affording employees the opportunity to fully participate and benefit from career opportunities and development.

The provision of childcare, whether through employers or governments, is good for business, society, parents and children.

This Guidance Note draws heavily on the Guide on Tackling Employer- Supported Childcare, produced by the International Finance Corporation.
