Childcare is a critical enabler of women’s economic participation, yet significant data gaps remain around childcare needs, access to services and how employer-supported care policies are implemented in practice.

As the third webinar in the IFC–UN Women Gender Data Gaps Webinar Series, this session will bring together perspectives from UN Women, the World Bank Group, government, the private sector and care innovators to explore how better gender data can strengthen childcare policies and investments.

Through short lightning talks, speakers will highlight emerging data sources, measurement approaches, research and practical solutions that can help companies, investors and policymakers move from evidence to action.

The discussion connects to WEPs Principle 2: Treat all women and men fairly at work without discrimination, including through workplace policies and practices that support employees with care responsibilities.
