Melis Tasaci, Turkey's Promising Woman Entrepreneu

With a history of nearly 70 years, Garanti Bank is Turkey’s second largest bank. Its Women’s Market program, established in 2006, was one of the first in the region. In 2006 the bank created a Women’s Entrepreneur Support Package designed to help women entrepreneurs establish and grow their businesses.Garanti also launched Turkey’s first Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award, an initiative that showcases women who have successfully grown their businesses, encouraging more women in the country to become entrepreneurs. Melis Tasaci has been awarded as Turkey's Promising Woman Entrepreneur of 2015. To stand on her own feet, and to find solutions for the problems that the handicapped encounter in their daily lives, Melis Tasacı established “Medlis Handicapped Accessibility Solutions". By identifying market deficiencies in the handicapped products sector which she started working in while she was a student at Hacettepe University Department of Statistics, she aimed to offer quality products
