Çöp(m)adam: For the Love of Trash

This is inspiring video from TurkishWIN. Tara Chantal Hopkins has been active in civil society since a young age and has always encouraged others to be more active in social entrepreneurship as well. Deciding she wanted to take direct action herself in addition to working through others, Hopkins combined her passion for environmentalism with her organizing experience, and created treasure out of trash in the process. Tara Chantal Hopkins established the Ashoka Turkey program and the Civic Involvement Projects program at Sabanci University. She now runs çöp(m)adam, the Garbage Ladies, an endeavor for women who have not previously earned a salary to make useful items out of waste materials.
