Here in Ventiseidieci we are all aware that the success of science lies in bringing together individual intuitions, and use them as steps towards the success of a project. Equality is our commitment, and our team is our pride. What would we be losing by not acting against gender imbalance? Answers are many: diversity, equality, creativity. And above all, potential. Because behind every woman giving up there is a brain and a heart whose potential is going wasted. Women mentoring can be immensely helpful in arising self-consciousness and potential awareness, but not without a long-term program aimed at concrete efforts. That is why we need actions, not just words: we should do our best to cast light on the matter and counteract the problem.
