We, at Seven Seas Holdings Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd are pleased to be a signatory to the Women Empowerment Principles. We are committed to implementing the UN SDGs, and Gender Equality is a top priority to us. We strongly believe women deserve equal access, opportunities and training in business. It is not something women should be fighting for; it is our responsibility to create adequate space for equality of women throughout our systems, from recruitment to promotional prospects to leadership roles and everything in between. We believe true ‘inclusion’ is very different to ‘diversity’. Diversity at our workplace, and even industry is not enough without continuous action against gender inequality. Therefore we advocate for gender equality, as well as implement it within our workplace every day, as means of fulfilling our social responsibility, as well as attaining competitiveness in business.
