In the words of Sheryl Sandberg..'In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders'..a deep and a powerful way of explaining the essence of the gender equality. Leading by example, we need to challenge gender narratives, secure equal rights and work towards establishing a brighter future for our next generation. We need to reflect our ideologies at home first and should appreciate the women who are around us and at our home and let them know the value they hold and how pertinent their contribution is in shaping our lives. To bring about a transformation in our society and to promote gender equality, it is essential to see the active involvement of not only women but also men. Infact, the support, trust and respect of the men will bring out the irreversible progress in the lives of the female community. Sir John Stuart Mill in the year 1869 itself has pointed out that legal subordination of one sex to another is wrong in itself and now one of the chief hindrances to human improvement. He has also emphasised the need of replacing it by a system of perfect equality, admitting no power and privilege on the one side, nor disability on the other. And of course, empowered women should always strive to empower women...
