“Over the years, at PMCG, we stand by our belief that women and men are equal in every aspect of life, including employment, and of course, in the decision-making processes. In the pursuit of development, we believe that the dedication to gender equality is the only way to progress in today’s business environment. For us as the consulting company, people are our major and most important asset; therefore, it is fundamental to have highly skilled professionals on board. As we see, the only way to gather such people is to create a supportive and comfortable environment where recruitment is fair and transparent, and each team member has equal opportunity to develop and grow. We are confident that equal pay is significant element for gender equality. Hence, we provide equal salaries to the employees with similar level of education, knowledge, experience and devotion. We have zero tolerance for sexual harassment at the workplace. In order to eliminate any chance of its occurrence, we have introduced respective policies and regularly carry out awareness raising trainings. At our workplace, we support women and men to have children and give them the care they need by fully compensating their maternity / paternity leaves and additional symbolic amount of money as a gift. Also, we offer parents with babies a more flexible working schedule, which includes the shorter working day and option to work remotely. We contribute to women’s empowerment not only within our team, but also in the community and among our beneficiaries. As part of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Gender Advisory Services Programme Georgia – Tbilisi Bus Project, we engaged in the promotion of equal-opportunity access to employment and relevant skills training for both women and men in transportation sector. Awareness has been increased company-wide about the TTC’s equal opportunities policy, as well as the need for grievance procedures to address discrimination and harassment in the workplace. Opportunities for maternity/paternity leave have also been put in place for both women and men in the company. After completion of the project, TTC had received more applications from women, interested in becoming bus drivers. The company has also signed the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). We are proud that PMCG is an employer of choice for so many smart and competent professionals, whose strive and efforts to benefit societies around them is tireless. From our side, we are happy to provide them with support and opportunities for growth.”
