When we started PLANTCROPS more than 10 years ago with only a small piece of land and a big dream, I never imagined how far dedication, hard work, and belief in our vision could take us. Agriculture remains a sector where men are still more prominently represented, and in general there is a perception that it is more suited for men, with doubts sometimes expressed about whether women can successfully work or lead in this field. As a woman in agriculture, I have experienced these perceptions, but I also know the strength, resilience, and value that women bring to our communities and businesses. By joining the Women’s Empowerment Principles, I want to encourage more women to believe in themselves, pursue leadership, and help build a future where equal opportunities are not an exception, but a standard.
