The principles of sustainable development are closely intertwined with the mission of Otbasy Bank – providing own housing for Kazakhstani families and increasing the sense of Homeland. In the structure of Otbasy Bank's headcount, the proportion of women is 61%, 18% of them hold senior positions. In 2021, Bank expanded its involvement in international initiatives related to gender equality. As part of helping to expand access to housing finance for women, the Bank launched the first in Kazakhstan Women's Mortgage Program «Umai», which aims to help women in Kazakhstan improve their housing needs on favorable terms. In implementing this task, the Bank is working in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank, as a result of which a credit line was opened and about 2,000 residents of Kazakhstan have already purchased affordable housing.
