"Nowadays, gender stereotypes still exist in Thai society where it is regarded that gender plays a role in one’s work capabilities. As a result, there are limited employment opportunities or development in some sectors which can lead to unfair gender discrimination. In addition, some large organizations do not offer enough flexible welfare nor adapt to the needs of each employee. Moreover, the proportion of women in leadership and decision-making positions is much lower than it should be. As a health service provider with high professional standards and recognition in human dignity, Navamin Hospital Group has a policy to promote gender equality. The policy covers all personnel operations from the employee selection, compensation, job assignment, welfare provision, training development and promotion opportunities based on one’s performance and job deliverables, not any personal differences. This policy is intended to ensure that there is no discrimination and that they are provided with equal opportunities despite different genders. In addition, the hospital provides social protections such as social security, as well as safe work assignments for female staff members during their pregnancy. Trainings for all staff are regularly organized to improve their understanding in how to treat people of different genders so that the practices to promote gender equality in the workplace are fully adopted. The goal is to so that employees can be proud of themselves, see the value of their own work and can perform their duties to their full potential without any worries. This also helps prevent conflicts while encouraging them to monitor and report any problems faced by their colleagues. Navamin Hospital Group consists of employees at all levels, from the management team, the team of doctors, nurses and staff, totaling 1381 people, divided into 1116 female and 265 male employees, who work together to drive the organization to achieve our mission."
