Milliyet Newspaper, being a strong voice of disadvantaged groups for over half a century in Turkey, is surely devoted to promoting women and girls, their role in society and future by nature. As Turkey’s first newspaper being member of Global Media Compact of UN Women, and a strong commitment maker in Generation Equality Forum, we will open a new door of efforts and works on promoting women by signing WEPS’ 7 principles. We believe media’s role on transforming societies, and we pursue taking more concrete and strong steps towards empowering women in our organization and Turkish society.
