The advancement of gender equality and women’s empowerment is part of our modus operandi at LCI. Prior to starting LCI with my husband I worked in the financial services sector and while I was able to move quite quickly in this space through hard work and amazing mentors. The evidence of the inequality in this space based on gender was glaring and unfair. At LCI we are committed to and believe that Equality Means Business and seek to actively promote the seven steps presented on the WEPs, in our firm as captured in our values and operating practices. This is further reinforced in our work with UN Women over the past three years. Creating safer, more robust and sustainable enterprises globally should be everyone’s business.
