Maciej Wąsek (M)

CEO Poland & Baltics

On behalf of ISS Poland & Baltics, I had privilege to sign the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles – the initiative that confirms our commitment to advancing gender equality in our workplace, marketplace and community. In Poland & Baltics, ISS has more than 2,000 employees and a responsibility to ensure that all genders are treated equally and fairly. And I am proud to say that in our region – women account significantly for over 60 percent of our placemakers. Additionally, women are in the vast majority in the Polish management board. Looking globally, we have not yet reached our target which is at least 40 percent gender balance at corporate leadership level by 2025. Therefore, the firm is taking decisive steps to change this and thus strive to establish a gender balance among our employees at all levels within the company structure. Regardless of their age, gender, education level, disabilities or ethnicity, we are continuously seeking to provide – all our employees – with the best opportunities that we can and equal rights for everyone.
