Norman de Paula Arruda Filho (M)
President
My work in the educational field began in 1996 when I assumed the Presidency of the Higher Institute of Administration and Economics - ISAE, in partnership with Fundação Getulio Vargas in Paraná. Since then, I have built my career in Education - my real passion - based on the precepts of sustainable development and globally responsible leadership, defending education as a transforming tool. Today, I am proud to be a reference in the theme Responsible Executive Education in Brazil, making ISAE one of the first educational institutions to be part of the Global Compact, in 2004. In 2006, I was invited by Global Compact to join the taskforce that created the Principles for Responsible “Business” Education, so I feel very proud to be part of this until today and to have followed all the growth and impact. In 2017, I had the honor of being awarded the PRME Pionner, at the United Nations headquarters in New York, an exciting recognition for this trajectory of contribution to the initiative. In 2019, with pride, I received the title “PRME LAC Honorary Life Chair. My trajectory in PRME, can be translated into acting in several strategic positions, as Chapter Chair, member of Advisory Committee, Interim Management Council, and now with your invitation to join the Global Board in this new moment of the Initiative. To disseminate the PRME guidelines, as a professor in our Master Program in Governance and Sustainability , I created the methodology SDG 4.0 that associates consecrated theories to organizational practice based on the Sustainable Development Goals.
