Studies have shown that Gender equality in the workplace results in better business performance. The Filipino women's labor participation rate had stayed within a 49 to 50 percent range in the past two decades, and in 2018 - at 46 percent - was the lowest in Southeast Asia. Businesses should recognize and implement the necessary changes to drive higher labor participation of women, to contribute to the country's economic growth.
