Gender equality is a fundamental human right. For Imerys, gender diversity is a pillar of our Diversity and Inclusion program. Imerys Group is a signatory member of the UN Global Compact since 2016 and our ‘SustainAgility’ program contributes to SDG 5 to achieve gender equality, among others. While the Group has not yet reached its full ambition, we are fully committed to accelerate our efforts by continuing increasing the number of women across management levels. Gender equality should be inclusive and male allies are one of the keys towards the direction of creating more opportunities for women. As the Chief Executive Officer of Imerys, through my signing of the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles, I commit to accelerate our efforts to create a more gender inclusive and equal organisation, aligned with our long-term ambition.
