At Flow 48, we believe that achieving gender equality is a global imperative, essential for building a more just and prosperous world for everyone. That's why we're committed to doing our part by tackling the financial barriers that disproportionately affect women who tend to have a higher percentage of ownership of SMEs, especially in emerging markets. Joining the UN Women's Empowerment Principles is a natural extension of this belief – it’s about putting our values into action and leveraging the powerful framework the WEPs provide to advance gender equality in the marketplace and in the community. We're currently focused on making a significant impact in the UAE, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia to start with but our goal extends far beyond these geographies and aims at making lending more democratized and free of information and cognitive biases.
