All genders have equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities. Achieving gender equality requires the elimination of all forms of discrimination and bias, ensuring that everyone can participate fully in all aspects of life, including economic, social, and political spheres. Ecobank Centrafrique, as part of the Ecobank Group, is dedicated to promoting gender equality and empowering women. The Ecobank Group has signed the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), which provide guidance on advancing gender equality and women's empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community. Ecobank Centrafrique emphasizes its commitment to ensuring that women and girls have equal rights and opportunities to reach their full potential without facing discrimination. At Ecobank Centrafrique, though we still have much to achieve, 52% of the staff are women. The bank has also implemented several initiatives, including the Ellevate programme, which supports women-owned and women-led businesses with financial and non-financial solutions. Together we stand for Gender equality and strive for a future where parity at all levels of management is achieved between women and men to its fullest for our organization.
