Empowering women also means educating men about the importance of their role and support to make this happen—we’re in it together! It’s not only about teaching our daughters, sisters or women in the community about gender equality or women empowerment but to teach our sons, brothers and men in the community about amplifying women’s voices and facilitating the process. If we were to have a son and daughter, we’d want the best for both, wouldn’t we? We’d want to hear their laughter, see their growth and experience their world of achievements. Similarly in the corporate or business world, we’d want to see women not just successful in women’s circles, but on par with their men counterparts.
