BPW Alberta (BPWA) is a non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-partisan organization incorporated as a registered society within the province of Alberta in May 2019. With clubs in Calgary (95 years of uninterrupted years of service to the membership and to the community) and in Edmonton (in the midst of its fifth programming year), BPWA’s mission is to develop the business, professional, and leadership potential of women and girls within the province. BPWA is affiliated with BPW Canada and BPW International, whose mission is to promote the interests of women, girls, and all peoples, and to achieve the UN SDGs by 2030. It is a privilege for BPWA to become a signatory to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). At the inevitable close of these trying pandemic times, BPWA envisions that in association with WEPs, we will all emerge as stronger leaders, principled, engaged, aware, and participating with greater economic strength in a more empowered and diverse workplace.
