According to the WHO, 1.6 million women die each year in developing countries from cooking with firewood. Biogaz Benin understood this and, through its vision, decided to work for the education of women and contribute to their empowerment not only by providing them with biodigesters to produce biogas from their biodegradable waste but also by having organic fertilizer for agricultural production or selling it. They therefore save time in the kitchen and have the time needed to take care of the education of their children. We choose to join the WEPs in order to further impact women, work for their empowerment in order to offer them a fair chance for access to markets and the professional world.
