The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham) supports and champions the United Nations Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs). The Chamber in commitment and dedication to its MAIN (Marketing, Advocacy, Information, and Networking) thrust; women empowerment is one of its priority advocacies in contributing to the attainment of gender equality and fair representation especially in business. It also commits itself in contributing to economic progress and nation-building through supporting and championing women who have been the backbone of homes and businesses, as well as celebrating them as active contributors of development from all across industries. We celebrate women in all walks of life and recognize their leadership, efforts, contributions, achievements, and failures. We have come a long way in uplifting women but we must make it a point to continuously drive this path in realizing the true essence of empowering women and achieving gender equality.
