Flex for Empowerment is a pilot campaign designed to increase the number of Women’s Empowerment Principle signatories in Canada and showcase good practices of women’s economic empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community.
The Women's Empowerment Principles are a set of 7 Principles, for business offering guidance on how to empower women in the workplace, marketplace and community. They are grounded in the recognition that businesses have a stake in, and a responsibility for, gender equality and women’s empowerment.
On 14 March 2019, UN Women, the United Nations Global Compact and United Nations Office for Partnerships convened over 600 representatives from business, Government and civil society this week to discuss business action to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment.
